Mr. Miller, president of CBB International, leads the strategic management of the firm, a boutique research and advisory firm that provides multi-national corporations, funds, and investment firms with unique, timely, and independently-derived data to support their strategic planning in China. Its flagship publication, the China Beige Book™, is a quarterly report based on the largest and most comprehensive private survey ever conducted regularly on the Chinese economy.

A founding partner of a global investment risk consultancy, Mr. Miller worked previously as a capital markets attorney for a major international law firm in New York and Hong Kong, as well as in-house counsel for a global investment bank.

A leading expert on China's financial system, he is a frequent on-air commentator for media outlets such as CNBC, Bloomberg TV, BBC, FOX Business, al Jazeera and others, and his writings have appeared in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Foreign Policy, The Washington Post, Institutional Risk Analyst, and Far Eastern Economic Review.

Mr. Miller holds a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and a master's degree in Chinese history from Oxford University. In 2004, Mr. Miller received the Gerald Segal Fellowship Prize in Asian Security, awarded annually to a single individual worldwide by the International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS), and in 2006-08 was named an American Bar Association (ABA) Business Law Fellow, a position from which he helped lead the organization's review of the Chinese banking system.

Mr. Miller is a member of the National Committee on US-China Relations and the Council on Foreign Relations.
